Best Places to Stay in Jackson Hole for Your Wedding or Elopement Weekend

Wide mountain view of the Teton Range in Grand Teton National Park near Jackson Hole, Wyoming

If you’re planning a trip to Jackson Hole, one of the first things you’ll realize is that where you stay really shapes the experience.

Some places feel tucked into the mountains and peaceful. Some put you right in the middle of town so you can walk everywhere. Some are worth booking for the stay itself. Others are simply practical, comfortable, and a smart use of budget in an expensive destination.

We’ve spent a lot of time in Jackson Hole for weddings, elopements, scouting trips, and our own travels. We’ve stayed in many of these places ourselves, visited others, and helped countless couples decide where to stay based on guest count, priorities, location, and overall feel.

We also photograph celebrations throughout the area as Jackson Hole Wedding & Elopement Photographers, so we often help couples think through lodging, guest flow, and the overall experience.

This guide is not a generic roundup. It’s based on real experience, honest opinions, and what we’d genuinely recommend to our own couples, friends, and family.

This is not a trendy design hotel, and it doesn’t try to be. It’s practical, comfortable, and reliable. We’ve personally found the beds comfortable, the rooms dark enough for solid sleep, and the air conditioning especially appreciated in summer.

Best Areas to Book a Vacation Rental Near Jackson Hole

For families, wedding groups, friend trips, or travelers who simply want more space than a hotel room, vacation rentals can be one of the smartest ways to stay near Jackson Hole.

Having a full kitchen, multiple bedrooms, laundry, private gathering space, and room to spread out can make a longer trip feel much easier and more comfortable.

One important thing to know before booking: Teton County has stricter short-term rental regulations than many travelers expect, so traditional Airbnb options inside Jackson can be more limited. Because of that, many of the strongest rental options are found in surrounding areas like Teton Village, Wilson, Victor, and professionally managed communities.

Teton Village

Teton Village is often the top choice for larger groups wanting upscale homes, ski access, and a true mountain setting.

You’ll find some of the most impressive vacation rentals in the region here, including large chalets, modern mountain homes, and multi-bedroom properties that work beautifully for wedding weekends, family gatherings, or group trips.

It is especially popular in winter for skiing, but attractive year-round thanks to restaurants, scenery, hiking access, and the overall setting.

We’ve also photographed wedding weekends where couples stayed in private homes here, including this beautiful Rendezvous Lodge Wedding at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, where the couple got ready in a stunning Teton Village home before the celebration.

Best For: Luxury group stays, ski trips, wedding weekends, high-end family vacations.

Victor, Idaho

Because of short-term rental restrictions in Jackson, many travelers find far more Airbnb and VRBO inventory just over Teton Pass in Victor, Idaho.

Victor is usually much more affordable than Jackson Hole and often offers larger homes, cabins, condos, and better value for the price.

The tradeoff is the drive. Reaching Jackson usually means about 40 minutes over Teton Pass, depending on weather and season.

For budget-conscious travelers or larger groups, it can be one of the smartest choices in the greater area.

Best For: Affordable Jackson Hole area lodging, larger rentals, longer stays, value-focused groups.

The Aspens / Wilson

Located between Jackson and Teton Village, the Aspens area near Wilson is one of the most convenient vacation rental zones in the valley.

You can often find condos, townhomes, and comfortable rentals with easier access to both Jackson and Grand Teton National Park.

We especially like this area for travelers who want flexibility, a quieter setting, and a better balance than staying fully in town or fully in the resort zone.

Best For: Mid-range stays, couples, small families, balanced location, repeat visitors.

We’ve had couples stay here for elopement weekends as well, including this Snake River Overlook elopement in Jackson Hole.

Snow King Area / East Jackson

Another smart option is the Snow King and East Jackson area, where you’ll find condos, townhomes, and vacation rentals close to downtown Jackson.

This location gives you easier access to restaurants, shops, nightlife, and Town Square while still being close to hiking and mountain recreation.

For travelers wanting to stay near town without committing to a traditional hotel, this area makes a lot of sense.

A trusted local company here is Outpost, which manages many well-located Jackson Hole rentals.

Best For: Walkability to town, Jackson location, ski access, families, couples wanting convenience.

Our Honest Take

If budget is not the biggest concern, Teton Village often offers the most impressive homes and strongest group experience.

If value matters most, Victor, Idaho can be hard to beat.

If you want the best balance of convenience and quieter surroundings, Wilson / The Aspens is excellent.

If staying close to restaurants, shops, and town energy matters most, Snow King / East Jackson is a smart pick.

WHY WHERE YOU STAY MATTERS FOR A JACKSON HOLE WEDDING WEEKEND

In a place like Jackson Hole, where you stay often becomes more than lodging. It can shape the rhythm of the entire weekend, where people naturally gather, how relaxed everything feels, and some of the moments you remember most.

A great hotel or rental can become the setting for welcome drinks with friends, slow coffee mornings before the wedding, getting ready photos filled with anticipation, a private dinner after your vows, or that first quiet morning together as newlyweds.

We’ve seen couples remember just as much about the in-between moments as the scheduled ones, laughing around a fire pit, watching sunset from a balcony, sharing breakfast with family, or walking back to your room after the celebration finally ends.

The right place to stay helps the whole weekend breathe. It gives everyone space to settle in, connect, and experience Jackson Hole instead of simply passing through it.

For wedding weekends especially, lodging is not just logistics. It becomes part of the story.

The same is true for photography timelines, where staying in the right place can create a far more relaxed day. We share more in this wedding photography timeline guide.
