POINT REYES NATIONAL SEASHORE ELOPEMENT & WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHERS

Point Reyes National Seashore feels quiet in a way that’s hard to find.

The kind of quiet where you hear wind before you hear anything else. Where fog drifts in slowly. Where the landscape doesn’t feel curated or polished, just open and honest.

It’s one of those places that doesn’t try to impress you. It simply exists.

We’re Eastlyn & Joshua, wedding and elopement photographers who spend a lot of time in places like this, photographing couples who want their day to feel simple and grounded in where they are.

Point Reyes sits about 45 minutes from the outskirts of San Francisco, close enough to an airport and accommodations, but far enough that once you arrive, it feels removed from everyday life. It’s a place where an elopement or small wedding can be about being present, not performing.

OUR APPROACH TO POINT REYES ELOPEMENTS & WEDDINGS

We’re drawn to photographing the way people naturally exist together.

The small glances. The way you lean into each other. The pauses between words.

We offer simple prompts and gentle direction when it’s helpful, and plenty of space when things are unfolding on their own.

Point Reyes has a presence of its own. Fog rolling in. Wind moving through tall grass. Long stretches of open land and coastline. We see the landscape as a partner in the story, not a backdrop.

There’s something really beautiful about placing a quiet, human connection inside a place that feels vast and untamed.

When you look back at your photos, we want you to recognize yourselves in them, and remember what it felt like to stand there together.

WHY ELOPE AT POINT REYES NATIONAL SEASHORE

Point Reyes feels far away in the best way.

Not far in distance, but far in feeling.

You can leave the outskirts of San Francisco and, within about forty-five minutes, find yourself in open ranch land, winding coastal roads, and wide stretches of quiet. It’s easy to get to, but once you arrive, it doesn’t feel convenient or built-up. It feels held by the landscape.

What stands out most to us is the contrast.

Historic cattle ranch land rolling into sand dunes. Tall grasses meeting the edge of the ocean. Fog slipping between hills. Herds of tule elk moving through open fields. Cows grazing near the roadside.

Some of the places we’re especially drawn to within Point Reyes:

  • The Cypress Tree Tunnel

  • Cliffside and bluff overlooks near Chimney Rock, the Point Reyes Lighthouse, and Tomales Point

  • Long stretches of Point Reyes Beach / Great Beach

  • Trails that open to sweeping views over the coastline

  • Yellow lupine blooming in early April

There’s a reason so many people say Point Reyes feels more like Scotland or Ireland than California. The air is cooler. The light is softer. The landscape feels old and expansive.

For couples who feel connected to nature and want their wedding or elopement to feel simple and grounded, it’s a place that makes a lot of sense.

TWO LEAD PHOTOGRAPHERS, ONE SHARED APPROACH

We photograph every elopement and wedding together.

Working as a two–photographer team allows us to move with flexibility and intention. One of us might be focused on the broader scene, while the other is paying attention to what’s happening quietly between you.

Joshua brings an easy, steady presence that helps people relax quickly.
Eastlyn tends to notice small shifts in light, posture, and emotion.

Together, we’re always watching for the way your connection interacts with the environment around you.

Our goal isn’t to manufacture moments. It’s to notice the real ones and preserve them thoughtfully.
